16강, 8강, 4강, 결승 이런 말을 하는데요-
영어로는 어떻게 하는지 궁금해요.
그나저나 한국, 16강 가는거야! 결승~ 가는거야!!!

보통 운동 대회에서 8강 이전까지는 1 round, 2 round 등으로 부르다가
8강 이후에는 Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, Final이라고 부릅니다.

2등은 finalist, 즉 결승전(Final)에는 올라갔지만 우승(Champion)은 못했다는 얘기죠.
4강에는 올라갔지만 semi-final에서 졌다면 semi-finalist라고 합니다.

예선전 : preliminary matches
32강 : first round
16강 : second round / final 16
8강 : the quarter final / the third round
4강 : the semi final
2강(결승) : the final ( play-offs )
